For Immediate Release: Studio D Holds Redken’s Night of Color Contest
Local Salon Places 2nd in National Color Contest
November, 2009 – Nampa, ID. Studio D knows “girls just want to have fun,” and that’s why the salon participated in Redken 5th Avenue NYC’s “Night of Color” contest which challenged salons nationwide to host an event to educate and inspire clients with the season’s hottest fashions and every girl’s must have accessory – gorgeous, shiny haircolor! Salons competed by submitting photographs and a detailed event description. Studio D facilitated an impressive event for their clients.
“We were very excited to hold this event for NNU Students so they are able to complete their overall look with the perfect hair, a client’s best accessory to help make a statement!” says Danae Valle, owner of Studio D. “Our Night of Color event included a Limo ride from NNU and three makeovers to display the season’s latest haircolor. The clients left with a new outlook on professional haircolor and a bag of Redken products to keep on their new and trendy look. A special thank you to the Brass Razzo and Kristen Muir for donating the clothing, and brownstone for providing the food.
“Studio D’s Night of Color event was truly eye-opening as I realized how important haircolor is in expressing my look,” states Mary Adams, “we learned about the benefits of salon haircolor and consultation tips so the next time we visit our stylists we will be sure to get the most out of the appointment. I have already scheduled my next visit!”

Britton Valle and Erin Muir, two stylists of Studio D, just completed world- class training at the renown Redken 5th Ave. Exchange in New York City. Redken 5th Ave. Exchange attracts top stylists from all over the world to its advanced hair cutting and color classes. Danae Valle, owner of Studio D says: “ We believe that a Hair Salon is only as good as the education that their stylists have”. Studio D has been on the forefront of education in Idaho and is constantly sending their stylists to New York.
Erin Muir has trained under Danae Valle, owner of Studio D, and one of the top colorists in the country. When the opportunity arose to go to New York she jumped at the chance. She said: “This was a dream come true, my knowledge of color increased dramatically and I’m excited to pass this knowledge on to my clients”.
Britton Valle has been exposed to the hair world from an earlier age; both of his parents are hairstylists. His passion for hair design and his creative abilities have made him well known here in Nampa.
He commented: “Going to New York for the third time in the last 12 months makes me realize that learning never ends”. While in New York he also took the Redken Color Certification Examination. He will be only one of a handful of stylists in Idaho who have this Certification.
