This is what Studio D has done so far in 2009:
- Achieve Redken Elite Status. Studio D becomes one of the top 120 Hair Salons in the States
- Studio D Stylists attend the International Redken Symposium. They are recognized as the Top 5% of the top 20 % of Salons.
- Studio D sponsors Woman Events: Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Nazarene University, Plexus, Premier Jewelry, LDS. All and all, they taught more than 1000 woman the importance that their face shape has on their color, cut, style and fashion.
- Presenting Speaker at the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce
- NNU Fashion Show.
- Danae wins Business Woman of the Year by NAWBO. First time a Hair Stylist has won this award.
- Studio D featured on Channel 2. Interview focuses on Studio D being successful even when the economy is down
- Studio D Featured on the Radio during “Fred Ball for Zions Bank, Speaking on Business.”
- Stylists attend IBB Hair Show
- Three stylists, Clarisa Borup, Shannon Wickenden and Sarah Ward won the Pureology Upstyle Contest.
- Britton Valle, an stylist, flies to Pennsylvania to work with Patrick McGivor, one of the most respected ColorArtists in the Nation. He works at Cutler Salon in New York City, one of the Top Salons in the Country.
- Shannon, Amber, and Britton receive education in Seattle and Spokane
- Studio D places in a National Redken’s competition: “Night of Color”
- Brian Washburn, an Internationally recognized Stylist, comes to Studio D and spends 1 1/2 days in their studio teaching cutting techniques
- Studiod D is recognized by the Nampa Chamber of Commerce with a plaque for the work they do in the community.
- Studio D enters National Upstyle competition
- Britton Valle flies to New York and passes Redken Color Certification becoming one of only 2 color certified colorists in the state.
- Studio D is feature in the December issue of Maly’s magazine
- Studio D is feature in the KRS Summit website for their growth and success
- Tyson Daniel, a finalist on the tv show “Shear Genius” and an educator for Pureology teaches a class to Studio D’s stylists.
- Megan Jackson writes monthly articles on hair trends in the magazine Urban Liason
- Studio d featured in Redken’s Peter Mallards Reinventing Space

Studio D, formerly Danae’s Designs, began 21 years ago in Nampa and has grown into one of the top Color Salons in the Northwest. Owned by renowned colorist and artist Danae Valle and her husband Victor, their passion and love for the profession inspired them to take their talents to a new level. They accomplish this by creating a fun, creative and positive atmosphere for the client. Danae and Victor have lived in Nampa for 21 years.

Studio D was nominated as one of the top 200 Salons of 2007 by Ann Mincey, Vice-President of Redken and one of the top entrepreneur salons in the nation by Pat Parenty, General Manager of Redken. They also achieved a ranking of a Redken Elite Salon this year. They are one of two elite Salons in the Northwest and one of the top 120 Redken salons in the United States.

Danae and Victor have traveled extensively throughout the world to enhance their knowledge and to offer their clients the latest in color and hair cutting techniques. At Studio D you will find highly skilled and talented Service Providers who believe that education is what sets them apart from the rest. As a commitment to education the stylists at Studio D frequently attend classes in New York, at the world renowned Redken Exchange in 5th Avenue, the International Symposium in Las Vegas and also the local hair shows in Boise. Studio D is the first KRS Salon in Idaho. As such they have used their business strategies and owe a lot of their success to them. Studio D occupies 2100 square feet of space and was designed by master designer Pamela Turner. It reflects Danae and Victor’s ties to New York City. Its modern design and elegant yet simple flow sets this salon apart from others.
